Limit 2: Ceiling Amount based on Hold Period

The 2nd limit caps the amount of claims an eligible holder can claim, depending on how its held tokens without selling nor transferring, or had LP tokens paired without unpairing. The longer one HODLs, the more they can possibly claim from the Treasury (assuming the other limits allow for the amount). Ceiling amounts of claims are as follows:

HODL PeriodCeiling Limit of Claims (in USD)

1.5 months**

3 months

300

6 months

500

12 months

1,250

24 months

36 months

7,500

48 months**

60 months**

Ceiling limits for 48 and 60 months only apply to CHT deployed in the BNB Chain and require HODLing the necessary BEP-20 Support Token in the same address, for a minimum of 3 years.

However, perpetually HODL at least 1 governance token for a minimum of 1 year (to be released in ETH) in the same address for the following perks:

  1. Decrease Support Token HODL requirements from 3 Years to 1 Year from date of discharge

  2. Allow access to higher ceiling limits for claims filed to Treasuries outside the BNB Chain

  3. Allow earlier claims of as fast as 1.5 months of HODLing

  4. Allow increased limits for the Hospital Bill Requirement

The Ceiling Limit was made to protect the Treasury from being drained by recurrent claims from the same address. By giving ceiling limits, large bag holders of CHT who have higher Limit 1's get capped by Limit 2, ensuring sustainability of the Treasury. Furthermore, long term holders of CHT and the necessary [Support Token] get access to higher claim amounts - assuming that the other Limits allow for such claims.

Sample Limit Computation:

Holder buys CHT worth 1,000 USD at a 30,000 USD market cap. Assuming a medically insurable event occurs during claims computation and market cap remains at 30,000 USD:

a. If the holder files a claim after 12 months, Limit 1 will be 2,000 USD, but Limit 2 caps the claimable amount to 1,250 USD

b. If the holder files a claim after 24 months, Limit 1 will be 5,000 USD, but Limit 2 caps the claimable amount to 3,500 USD

c. If the holder files a claim after 36 months, Limit 1 will be 8,000 USD, but Limit 2 caps the claimable amount to 7,500 USD

d. If the holder files a claim after 60 months and holds the [Support Token], Limit 1 will be 18,000 USD, but Limit 2 caps the claimable amount to 15,000 USD

Long term holders should be able to claim more from the Treasury. The Multiplier System, coupled with the Ceiling Amount Limit, creates a level playing ground for holders who HODL for insurance. Consider the following example:

e. If the holder bought 100 USD at a 30,000 USD market cap, files for a claim after 60 months after holding the [Support Token], his Limit 2 gets capped to 15,000 assuming that the market cap reaches 300,000 USD by the time of his claim (i.e. 100 * 18 * 10 = 18,000 USD Multiplier, but with only 1,000 USD in actual CHT value).

Same whale who bought 1,000 USD worth will have 10,000 USD in actual CHT value but can only claim up to 15,000 USD because of Limit 2.
